Deliveries, Freight Elevator, and Loading Dock

All large deliveries of furniture, equipment, or material should be scheduled with the Building Management Office.

Deliveries to and from the Premises shall be made only at the times, in the areas, and through the entrances and exits reasonably designated by Landlord. Tenant shall not make deliveries to or from the Premises in a manner that might interfere with the use by any other tenant of its premises or of the Common Areas, any pedestrian use, or any use, which is inconsistent with good business practice.

Loading Dock Hours and Access
The loading dock is located on the Sacramento Street side of the building and is open to receive deliveries from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Parking is permitted at the loading dock only when loading or unloading during the course of making deliveries. This applies to service vendors as well as other contractors, all of who may use the loading dock to load/unload tools and materials, but may not park there while providing services. Unauthorized or vehicles parked more than 20 minutes during business hours will be cited and towed.

Deliveries
Please arrange for all deliveries to be brought directly to your space or have a tenant representative meet the deliverer at the loading dock. Deliveries that are estimated to take more than 20 minutes or moves must be scheduled for after hours through the Building Office at 415 956 5555. Small deliveries on luggage carts or carts with rubber wheels are allowed in the passenger elevators.

Neither the Building Management Office nor Security Personnel are authorized to accept (sign for or hold on to) delivery of items for a tenant. Vendors will not be allowed access to your space unless prior written permission is received from the tenant, and a key to your space is left with that letter. For everyone’s safety and security, items may not be left with Security for pick up by a vendor or other person.

To schedule after hours use, your Authorized Signer must enter a move request in MRI Angus, in the ‘shared resources’ menu at least 48 hours in advance.

Freight Elevator
The freight elevator is available on a first-come, first-served basis during business hours for a maximum of two trips. The elevator is run via an operator stationed within the cab. You may call the freight elevator to your floor by using the call buttons located on the freight elevator door jamb on your floor or by dialing extension ‘101’ on the red house phone located in the passenger or freight elevator lobby between 7:00 am – 8:00 am and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

Normal freight elevator hours are 7:00 am to 6:00 pm weekdays. The dimensions of the freight cab are 7’1” wide by 5’6” deep by 9’2” high (minimum) or 12’3” high (maximum). The door opening is 3’6” and the load capacity is 3,500 lbs.

Deliveries that require more than two trips in the freight elevator or longer than 30 minutes must be made after hours. For more information, see Section "6.0 Moving Procedures" of this handbook.

Property Removal
Any property being removed from the building via the freight elevator (boxes, plants, pictures, computers, etc.), whether business or personal, must be accompanied by a Property Removal Pass. This triplicate form is available through the Building Office, and must be signed by an Authorized Signer for your company, and presented to the Security Officer upon exiting the Building.

If a vendor is removing articles from your suite (i.e. a computer for repair), please make sure they have a Property Removal Pass with them.
